Disclaimer
CleanPlate tells you what is on a label and how we grade it. It does not tell you what to eat.
Information, not medical advice
Everything on CleanPlate is general information. It is not medical, dietary or nutritional advice, and it does not replace a doctor or a registered dietitian. If you have a health condition, an allergy, or you are pregnant or feeding a child, ask a qualified professional before you change what you eat.
Scores describe a label, not a person
Our scores assume an Indian adult eating about 2000 kcal a day (ICMR-NIN 2020). They grade the product as printed on the pack. A food that scores poorly is not forbidden, and one that scores well is not right for everyone.
Labels change, and so can our reading of them
Brands change recipes, pack sizes and claims without notice. Every product page says when we read the label and from where. The pack in your hand is the final word: if it differs, tell us and we will check it again. We log every change to a score in the product's history.
Allergens
Do not rely on CleanPlate to check for allergens. Read the allergen statement on the pack you are buying.
No warranty
We work hard to read labels correctly, and we publish how. We still cannot promise that every figure is free of error, and we are not liable for decisions made from this information. See the terms of use.
